Happy Dirtday!

When I saw I Dig You in the catalog last summer, I knew, as the mother of boys, this set was for me.   You just can't go wrong with tractors and dump trucks when you have young boys.

This is a card I made with that set for the Birthday Card Swap I hosted this month.  I struggle to use Daffodil Delight sometimes, but it is perfect for this card:

Colors: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight and Whisper White.  Stamps: I Dig You and Wonderfully Worn Background.  Punches: Word Window, 3/4" & 1/2" circles.  Accessories: Dimensionals, Brads.
It's very unusual for me to NOT use the Big Shot on a card, but this one didn't.  But I did break out the background stamp, Wonderfully Worn, to add some dimension to the Daffodil Delight card base.  I ended up stamping it twice to give it even more "splotches".  It is a very simple card.  But isn't that what boys will like?

This is another card that will be offered at my Birthday Bash Stampin' Buffet on March 9-10. I will have the class up on my blog in the next week so check back.

What a fabulous card! I love how you made the wheels. I really need this set for my nephew -- he's going through a truck phase!

Adorable card! What a great idea to use the background stamp to make the dirt yard.

Cute card! I still need to get that set... and yes the boys do love simple. It was my MIL's birthday this month and I had each of the boys pick a card from my stash to send to her. They all picked cards that I had not made, that had none of my usual fussiness on them. I tried to not take it personally :)
