Christmas Card/Project Buffet

Want to get a jump start on your Christmas cards and gifts? Come for a fun day of stamping on Saturday, November 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You can come any time you want and make as few or as many cards and projects as you'd like. You only pay for the cards and projects you want to make. Here are the cards:

(Yes, they are the same as the cards for Jodi's PMS night.) The cost for cards is $1.25 for the first four you make and $1.00 for each additional card over four.

There will be two other projects available. The first is a candy tin with either 12 Hershey Nuggets wrapped in printed paper for $5, or 6 decorated peppermint patties for $4. They would make a nice gift for your child's teacher, neighbor or a small gift for a friend. Here is a picture of the peppermint patty tin:

The other is perfect for decorating your home for Thanksgiving. It features one of the new Decor Elements on a float frame with fall leaves. The cost for the project is $27 you RSVP by 5:00 p.m. on October 31 or $32 if you RSVP between October 31 and Wednesday, November 5 at noon. There will be no extras of this project so if you would like to make it, please let me know ASAP.
Please RSVP for the cards and tins by noon on Friday, November 7. It would be helpful if you gave me a general idea how many of each card and tin you would like to make so I can have enough of each cut.

In addition to the cards, the class will also feature this candy tin to make as well:

The candy tin features six peppermint patties and would make a great gift for your child's teacher, neighbor or friend. There will be two different Christmas-themed paper families available to choose from. Cost is $4.

Please RSVP to Jodi and give her a rough idea of how many cards and tins you would like to make so I can make sure to have enough ready.

World Card Making Day/Halloween Class

Halloween is still a little ways away, but it is not too early to start preparing for it! This year I am combining a Halloween Class with World Card Making Day. And for the first time, I will be offering two different days for the same class.

The first one will be Saturday, October 4 at 5:30 p.m. (during the General Priesthood Session of General Conference.) This will be a kid-friendly session. Stampers 10 and over are welcome to join in on the stampin' fun (regular class fees apply. Under 16 with a stampin' adult only please.) A free project table will also be set up for those under 10 to make their own project. RSVP by noon on Friday, October 3 (or by noon on Tuesday, September 30 for the Spooky Spider Jar).

The second time will be Wednesday, October 8 at 6:00 p.m. Babes in arms only please for this more adult-friendly session. RSVP by noon, Monday, October 6 (or by noon on Tuesday, September 30 for the Spooky Spider Jar).

Projects are the same for both classes and are a la cart (choose which you would like to make and how many of each):

-Four cards for $5. (That's the World Card Making Day part of the class.) I will post pictures of the cards soon.

- Glass Slipper includes kisses for $3. (Project inspired by a swap I received at Convention from fellow demonstrator Amy Jolley.) This is the most time consuming of the projects but it is perfect for the princess in your life.

- Halloween Treat Basket including decorated peppermint patties for $3. This project features the Big Shot and one of the new exclusive Stampin' Up! dies. Makes a great little gift for a friend, your child's teacher, or maybe your visiting teaching ladies.

- Trick or Treat Bag for $3. Send your little ghosts, goblins, princesses or pirates out with this cute trick or treat bag. There will be different combinations of Halloween paper available.

-Spooky Spider Treat Jar for $20. When I saw this at convention, I knew I had to make one for myself. It features one of the new Decor Elements (available October 1) applied to a glass cookie jar. This is the easiest project of the class. RSVP for this project by noon on September 30 so I can order the supplies (there will be no extras, so if you want to make it, let me know ASAP!)

Stampin' Up also runs a special for World Card Making Day: take 20% off any Simply Sent Card Kit or Simply Sent Card Elements featured on pages 176-177 of the Fall Winter Idea Book and Catalog. Special runs October 4 through October 11 only.

September Hostess Club

Hostess Club will be Thursday, September 25 at 7:00 p.m. at my house. Kayla is our hostess. This fun card will be one of two projects we will be making. It is a fun new technique that allows the images to pop up at you when you open the card. The first picture is the front of the card and the second is the inside. We will also make an additional surprise project (it's even a surprise to me right now!) Guests are always welcome to join in the fun for a $5 project fee that will be waived with any $20 purchase. RSVP by noon on Wednesday, September 24.

The base of the box will be Blue Bayou textured Card Stock and you can pick whether you want the accents and cards in Soft Sky or Groovy Guava. Guests are always welcome for a $5 class fee or free with a $20 order. The retiring accessory list comes out on July 21 so club would be a great time to stock up on all the retiring stuff!

June Hostess Club

Hostess club will be Thursday, June 12 at my home at 7:00 p.m. Lynsie is our hostess and requested scrapbooking. This masculine-themed 12x12 page is designed to recognize a Dad in your life, but the title could easily be changed to a name, or some other title (I will have my alphabet stamps available and you can stamp the title you'd like).

We will also make this card featuring the Fresh Cut Notes that will be in the new Fall/Winter Idea Book and Catalog when it is released in August.

Stampin' Up! is offering the note cards and a matching stamp set this month as a preview to the new catalog. I love the laser-cut flower in the middle. This card also features a technique that Lynsie helped me discover called "ghosting" or Versamark resist. I think it is my new favorite!

Guests are always welcome at our hostess club. There is a $5 class/supply fee that is waved with a $20 order. RSVP by June 10.

May Hostess Club

Hostess club will be May 14, at 7:00 p.m. at my home. Pam is our hostess and here is the project we will be making. It is a 10-page, 4x6 inch mini scrapbook featuring the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set, Wild Wasabi textured card stock with accents in Regal Rose and So Saffron. Guests are always welcome at our club meetings. Cost for guests: $5 or free with a $20 order. Please let me know if you plan to attend by May 12.

Here's a peek inside. As you can tell, this project might take a little time to complete. We will be creating this "round-robin" style (one step at a time, passing the supplies to the next person) so please plan to arrive on time or even a few minutes early. Bring small paper scissors if you've got them. There is a lot of cutting out on this one!

Spring into Scrapbooking Class

These are the scrapbook layouts for the May 10th (note the date change!) class at Barbara's house. The white rectangles represent where your photo or journaling blocks can go. I've also listed the size of photos that fit the pages' designs. Click on the picture to get a better view.

I call this one Boho Happy. It features products from Stampin' Up's Boho West Style Watch. It also has a little bling with a glittery "H" for happy and a rhinestone brad. Photos: one vertical 5"x7", three 3" squares (could fit a horizontal panoramic picture instead), one horizontal 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", one horizontal 3 1/2" x 5", and one vertical 3" x 2 1/2".

This one is perfect for any Spring Celebration. Featuring textured card stock and lots of spring flowers. Photos: one horizontal 5"x7", five 3 1/4" squares, two 3" square, one 2" square.

Who isn't Wild about the Zoo!?!? And who doesn't have lots of zoo pictures to scrapbook? This layout could also easily be changed to a "Wild About You" page as well. Photos: one horizontal 4"x6", two horizontal 2 1/2" x 3", three 3 1/2" squares (could put other smaller pictures on the right boarder too.)

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or leave a comment here.
