Retiring Stamps: Field Flower, Delightful Dozen and En Francais

One of the new things about the retirement list this year is that stamps are only available while supplies last.  That means I didn't even get to show you this card before Field Flowers was sold out.  Fortunately, last time I checked, En Francais and Delightful Dozen are still available.  But if you want either of them, I wouldn't wait around to order it.  Get them NOW!  Also, this card features the retiring In Colors, most of which are already sold out too. (Sorry!)

Colors: Crumb Cake, Primrose Petal (r), Raspberry Ripple (r), Summer Starfruit (r), Old Olive and Whisper White.  Stamps: Field Flowers (r), Delightful Dozen (r) and En Francais (r).  Big Shot: Oval Framelits.  Punch: Decorative Label.  Accessories: Pearl Jewels, Occasions Paper Piercing Pack, Raspberry Ripple Stitched Satin Ribbon (r).
This is a card that you can come make at my Spring Fling Stampin' Buffet.  I added one more class on Friday, May 9 (just in time for Mother's Day).  However, this card doesn't have to just be for Mother's Day.  Plenty of other greetings fit just fine inside that oval making this a great card for any one who loves flowers.  Just let me know by Wednesday if you'd like to come make one yourself.

Vivid Vases

I finally broke down and bought the Vivid Vases stamp set from the Occasions Catalog.  I have come across so many cute cards using this set, I decided I did indeed HAVE to have it.  Last week I finally got around to using it:

Colors: Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple, Crisp Cantaloupe, Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and Crushed Curry.  Stamps: Vivid Vases.  Big Shot: Deco Labels Collections Framelits.  Accessories: Many Marvelous Markers,Crystal Effects, Neutrals Candy Dots, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack.
There are a couple of details that are hard to tell from the photo. After coloring the vases with the Pool Party marker, I put a layer of crystal effects over the top to make them look like glass.  And it's a little hard to tell, but for the paper piercing I did a zig-zag pattern by piercing every other hole in three rows.

This is just one of the projects you can make at my Spring Fling Stampin' Buffet next weekend. This card could work for Mother's Day, Thank You, Friendship or really any time you want to tell someone she is wonderful!

And don't miss out on FREE SHIPPING next week only, just in time for the retirement list release beginning Monday.  No minimum purchase required but expedited shipping is not included.  Check back on Monday for even more details!

Spring Card in a Box

Last week, I showed you my first Card in a Box I made using Heidi Bak's measurements. Today, I am sharing the Card in the Box that will be offered at my Spring Fling Stampin' Buffet:

Colors: Pear Pizzazz, Crisp Cantaloupe, Wisteria Wonder, Coastal Cabana, and Crushed Curry.  Stamps: Papillon Potpourri, Flower Shop, Petite Petals and Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Big Shot: Little Leaves Sizzlets.  Punches: Pansy, Petite Petals, Elegant and Bitty Butterfly, Word Window, and Large Oval.  Accessories: Afternoon Picnic, Pearl Jewels, Window Sheet.
The fun thing about these cards is they fold completely flat and fit in a standard-size envelope, but when you open them up, they explode with color.  I put a Mother's Day greeting on this card, but the greeting could easily be changed to just about anything thanks to the more than 20 greetings in the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

This card features both the Flower Shop Bundle from the main catalog and Petite Petals Bundle from the Occasions Catalog.  Remember, when you purchase the bundles, you save and extra 15% versus buying the individual products.  These bundles are generally only available during their first catalog cycle, even if the individual products carry over into the next catalog.  So if you haven't purchased these bundles yet, now is the time.

All Dressed Up for Mother's Day

I love cardigan sweaters.  I have purchased six of them in the past two months.  Once I went shopping for pants and instead come home with a cute blue one.  Another time I accidentally bought one when I was buying milk at one of my favorite big box stores. I just love them. Especially this time of year when you want to be wearing your fun spring tops, but it just isn't quite warm enough in Utah for short sleeves (although I do have one or two short-sleeve versions.)  And they are perfect in the summer when you are going to be inside an overly-air conditioned building.  Pretty sure I'll be wearing one every week to church this summer for that reason.

So where am I going with this? When the Spring Catalog first came out, I was not at all interested in the All Dressed Up Bundle and the pop up cards seemed like a lot of work.  And I didn't think it was my style.   Then I saw on Pinterest that someone had turned the top of one of the dresses into A CARDIGAN SWEATER. So I used the hostess benefits on my next order to get them for myself and made this:
Colors: Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petal, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla.  Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Big Shot: All Dressed Up Framelits, Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  Punches Itty Bitty Punch Pack, Modern Label and Word Window.  Accessories: Print Poetry Designer Print Pack, Core'dinations Card Stock, Basic Pearls Jewels, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon.
We made this card at my Spring Fling Buffet last week and it was a big hit. I know I will be using this set to make more dresses and cardigans in the near future.  It pairs perfectly with the Print Poetry Designer Paper Pack too.  And don't the pearls just add the perfect touch to it?  With those and the dress form, it reminds me of my grandmother's sewing room.

My sneak peek order from the new catalog has arrived and I am hoping to have some time in the next few days to show you some sneak peeks with the fabulous new Mosaic Madness Bundle.  Be sure to check back!

Mother's Day is Just Around the Corner

Mother's Day is May 13.  That may sound like several weeks away, but really, it is just around the corner.  I will be featuring Mother's Day Cards as well as other spring occasions at my Spring Fling Stampin' Buffet on April 28.

Here is one of the cards you can come and make:

Colors: Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder, Old Olive, Shimmer White.  Stamps: Field Flowers and Messages for Mom.  Accessories: 2011-2012 In Color Collection Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack, Concord Crush Stitched Poly Ribbon.
This card also features a few items on it that we already know will not be in the 2012-2013 Catalog including the Messages for Mom stamp set and the Concord Crush card stock, ink and poly twill ribbon (since it is one of the 2010-2012 In Colors.)  If you love any of these things, don't delay too long to purchase them.  But they will for sure no longer be available after May 31.

You can check out all the projects for my Spring Fling Buffet on it's own page here on my blog.  RSVP's need to be to me by Thursday, April 26!
