Stampin' Addicts Winter Holiday Hop: Bright & Beautiful

Welcome to the Stampin' Addicts Winter Holiday Blog Hop!  It may seem like Christmas is a ways off, but it will be here before we know it.  And what better time to get your holiday crafting done than right now before all the craziness begins.  If you are hoping in order, then you are arriving here from Heidi's Running with Scissors Blog and her fabulous look at Festival of Trees.  If this is your first stop, you won't miss a thing because we are all linked together in a circle.  If you get lost along the way, head on over to Stampin' Addicts for a complete list of participating blogs.

I am featuring the Bright & Beautiful stamp set and coordinating Star Framelits.  I only had time to make two projects, but I hope you will get an idea how bright and beautiful this set really is.  The first is a window card so you get two pictures: the front and the inside.
Front of Card: Colors: Smoky Slate, Soft Sky, and Whisper White.  Stamps: Bright & Beautiful.  Big Shot: Stylish Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Stars Framelits, and Project Life Framelits.  Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels.
Inside of Card: See above for supply list.
To make the card, I cut a window in the card front and then added a smaller window cut out of Soft Sky to the inside of that.  Then I stamped the larger star on the inside with the greeting and added some rhinestones.  Don't ask me where a person is suppose to sign this card.

And this second project was in my head for a long time and I finally got it put on paper:

Colors: Gold, Silver and Very Vanilla.  Stamps: Bright & Beautiful.  Big Shot: Star Framelits.  Accessories: Silver 1/8" Ribbon and Gold Satin Ribbon, Brushed Silver Cardstock, and linen thread.
Here is a different look at the ornament that gives you a better idea of the dimension this ornament as to it.
To make the ornament, I used the largest and second-to-largest star framelits to cut two of  the outside frames.  Then I stamped and die cut four of the medium stars and scored them down the middle.  I used mono multi glue to glue them together with a piece of linen thread through the middle so the inner star can move.  (You could also use dental floss or fishing line if you wanted it to be less noticeable.)

Thanks for stopping by today.  If you like what you've seen here, please leave a little blog love or pin away on Pinterest.  Now you are off to Debra's Heartfelt Inkspiration and her look at Ornamental Pines.  I just know she is going to convince you to buy this beautiful set!
